aviation college not worth it?
i heard that a degree in something else from aviation would be good hmm actually theres a college here and its pritty famouse (i think) its called wyo tech in MA and that is for aircraft matienence would that be good to do and then come out of that and go to a reginal airlines and then majors so on and so on?

- No.Go to a real school. I'm being totally serious.
- An aviation college is only worth it if you know that is all you will ever want to do. If you have a chance for a real degree in something like engineering then jump all over it. Too much can happen to derail a pilot career and having something to fall back on is valuable. And besides, there are plenty of flying jobs out there that will have you asking yourself why in the hell you ever learned to fly. Trust me on this one.
- those other aviation realated careers are good for your resume. but if you want to be a pilot just go to a flight school, get your licenses build time and go get hired.
- Hmm...80K for a bunch of courses like basket weaving 101 and all you get is an 'aviation diploma?' Get a real degree that is transferable and that will help you aviation career (like business management) and you also have something to fall back on if you lose your medical or your company goes broke.
