Whats your favourite ever jet engine in civil aviation?
Mines the classic Pratt & Whitney JTD9. Sorry to all you non aviation enthusiasts but I'm treading on eggshells after two consec violations. I meant JT9D

- JT8D is no 1 for me. The GEnX is 2.
- GE90. Boy is that one hell of an engine.

- Whatever one is keeping my airplane flying... Seriously, I think the GE-90 has got to top the list... your JT8D powers airplanes that would fit INSIDE the GE-90

- i dont know names and serial numbers of jet engines, and dont much care, just as long as it gets me across the atlantic quickly and safely, thats all that matters. but did i ever tell you i learned how to take off and land a piper cherokee?
