  1. You might try History channel or Jane's. You can find their webs with out any problem. They have archives that cover that subject.
  2. there was a book i had once...i think called "worlds worst aircraft" and it was full of fun planes, many made by germany during ww2. my favorate was their vertical take off and landing plane that had the gear mounted on the tail so one had to pull the plane up to 90 degrees, then slowly "back" it down. (looking over the shoulder and everything) the test pilot reports all said it was a good plane, but they suggested not trying to land it.
  3. You might want to start with and then explain why Hermann Goering's words, "I knew the war was lost when I saw American fighter airplanes escorting bombers over Berlin.", held so much significance. That in such a short time, American and British air fleets and especially plane design had built to such incredible numbers of the most advanced planes in the world
  4. Deutsche Luftwaffe or Luftwaffe is the commonly used term for the German air force. The German Luftwaffe was one of the most powerful, doctrinally advanced, and battle-experienced air forces in the world when World War II started in Europe in September 1939. Following the loss of the Battle of Britain it went into terminal decline, until it virtually disappeared from the skies of Europe in 1944, leaving the rest of the Wehrmacht to fight without air support. Here are some website about the Luftwaffe http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luftwaffe http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_the_Luftwaffe_during_World_War_II www.luftwaffe.de www.warbirdsresourcegroup.org/LRG http://dir.yahoo.com/Arts/Humanities/History/By_Time_Period/20th_Century/Military_History/World_War_II/Units/German/Air_Force__Luftwaffe_/
