  1. Well, if combined into a single event, I would argue that the World Trade Center ranks forever as the number one aviation disaster in history. Anyone who disagrees will have a hard time arguing that the deaths of over 3000 people is superceded by something else.
  2. Nah, it's those 747s that hit each other at that airport in the Atlantic somewhere. Terrorists running em into buildings don't count. Well, it DOES, but............
  3. Your data is way off. By far the number one aviation disaster is September 11, 2001. That would make #2 the KLM 747 and a Pan Am 747 that collided on the runway in the Canary Islands, I think it was in 1977. I am not sure what the rest are.
  4. if you count the terroist attacks of september 11th as a whole they are by far the worst if you count them as individual events then it becomes much less clear on how many any one single plane killed not taking into account 9-11-01 the Tenerife crash where 2 747's collided is still the most fatal accident with something like 600 people being killed
