Marine Avionics?
Hello is anyone here in the Marines, or has been in the Marines and had the job of Aviation? If so, please give your opinions, and experiences. Also, do you think it's a good way to go if you're looking to join the Marine Corp?

- It's a good part of the Corp, many great jobs....do it!
- The Air Wing offers more variety in duty station choices. Many are located at NAS (Naval Air Stations) which are always near the ocean (if you like the ocean). Training involves more time and effort. Everybody goes to basic aviation training school to learn what and what not to do around aircraft. Many involve flight line duties that you find yourself doing no matter what your MOS. You can learn a good paying career that you can take with you when you get out. BUT, this does require a four year enlistment. So for those that don't want to hump the boonies for a living, then the Air Wing is for you. BUT remember, no matter what your MOS, if they deploy you, you could wind up filling the empty slots as an 0311 (grunt) or even as a door gunner because all Marines are trained for that first!!! and it happened to me! Good luck in whatever you choose.
