Best book for Marine officers wife?

brand new Lt getting married. His new wife has no clue about military life. She will catch on quickly, but a book could help her. Suggestions? FYI - Lt is in Marine Aviation pilot training.

  1. Married to the Military: A survival guide for the military is a pretty good book...at least i think so. It doesn't apply specifically to Officer's wives, but for any wives, but it could be helpful, at least with the basics.
  2. http://www.marinewives.com/ http://www.maowc.org/ "LT" The two links will do about all that can be done for her. http://www.navytimes.com/ The above is great, get her a subscription, they have a few pubs, great website and every few months good booklets.
  3. i'm sure he'll deploy again so seperated by duty united in love is a great book
  4. The Frugal Gourmet
  5. Tell her about Military OneSource everything is free the website is www.militaryonesource.com It's a great website that has all kinds of information about the military as well as books and resources that they will mail to her absolutley free. Another thought is to get her to go to the family service center and enroll in the next LINKS class. She can go to the class where she can meet other spouses or she can take the class on-line. They can give her the information she needs at the family service center. Beyond that there are TONS of books written my military wives.
