Public Comments
- Air Force
- the few the proud the MARINES!!!!!
- What are you pinned down by? i.e. Small arms fire, automatic, mortor rounds..
- Army A-10A
- USAF
- Marine. They are the best.
- The Army, as we all should know, the Air Force is all about guided bombs, and guided missiles from high altitude. The Marines might have been the best choice, but I was stationed at a MCAS base where harrier's were stationed.... no thanks. The Army only does ground support, that is what their combat aircraft are designed and used for. Not knocking the Air Force, I love the A-10.
- The Marine Corps
- Anyone not American
- Oorah Devil Dogs. United States Marine Corps. Ch53 Super Stallion HMH 469.
- army
- Yes. Any or all three would be great -- that's why it's called "Joint Operations".
- I controlled them all as an E-Tac in Vietnam. Hate to say it (being as I was Air Force), but carrier based Navy pilots are absolutlly the best in the world, and there isn't anyone that I would rather have cover my @$$.
- I'd go Air Force aircraft.
- As somebody who has worked in a TOC in Iraq - I would say that there is very little practical difference between them. Besides, if the mission is 'Immediate Suppression' (what your scenario describes) artillery and mortars will respond faster than close air.
- hmm i would say marine aviation i ruled out usaf because their training probably concentrates more on controlling airspace and not as much on close ground support the i would pick army aviatin but its on a beach so i figured they should hav SOME naval/amphibious support training so i pick the marine aviation (for that situation)
- Whoever is closest!! Thay are all pros and do a darn good job!!
- It depends upon the enemy force that you're up against and the type of capability you want to employ against that force. Are we talking about taking out infantry or tanks? Generally speaking though, Navy or Marine aviation are best trained for coastal operations, so that would be my pick (and I'm active duty USAF aircrew).
- the army HOOAH ,marines are good in close battles but pinned down under presure? well thats the army's job alongside of setting up camp and holding down the fort but honestly if your pinned down your phucked so tell ya battle buddy to take care and kiss your azz goodbye lol
